JUANA MARTIN PARIS COUTURE SS24

MERDE had the privilege of witnessing true artistry backstage at Juana Martin’s SS24 couture show title ‘La Rosée.’ Founder Molly Apple watched and photographer Yann Militon captured imgaery as the couture dressmakers applied the delicate finishing touches to each look before the defile in the Carousel du Louvre. Couture translates literally from French as “dressmaking”, sewing, or needlework - it’s these hands that built the springtime dream world manifesting in elaborate looks imagined by the Spanish designer and inspired by Andalusian spring; the morning dew, the evening light, the fresh smell of flowers, their colors and late sunsets.
