MERDE’s favorite Paris Gallery La Boulangerie! is pleased to announce “Preteen Lucky Angel Wooing” a duo exhibition by artists Talia Maidenberg & Francisco G. Pinzon Samper.

Through her figurative painting practice, Maidenberg challenges the traditional representations of women and the place of icons and celebrities in society.
Pinzón Samper is an artist of quite a range and for this exhibition he opted to show a selection of works – not only woman portraits- that are in visual juxtaposition, going for the classic ‘compare and contrast’ approach as a conversation opener for topic of identity; be it social status, nationality or imaginary. After all, we live in our heads as much as we do in the outer world.
What are the secrets to the friendship between two artists? This exhibition is first of all the fruit of friendship and intellectual conversations. Talia and Francisco have been working next to each other at the Beaux-Arts of the Mimosa Echard studio. They share desks, ideas, conversations, materials, references, inspirations but basically sharing creation.
